Earlier this week, Spotify revealed their collaboration with Netflix to launch a hub to showcase all related Netflix music and podcasts. It will be available on the Spotify app on mobile and computer.
The new Netflix hub will feature all of Netflix’s original soundtracks, with some that are exclusive only on Spotify. There are thousands of songs on here from all the greatest Netflix Originals such as the popular ‘Money Heist’ to the newly released ‘Cowboy Bebop’.
Spotify has even included official playlists for the Netflix shows, such as the ‘Stranger Things Official Playlist’ and the ‘On My Block Playlist’. These playlists showcase all the songs that were featured in the respective shows for fans to listen to and enjoy.
However, this isn’t the first time Netflix has created a hub like this. In January 2020, Spotify had released a similar hub but for Disney, which had all the same features as the current Netflix hub but it displayed all of Disney’s greatest hits from Aladdin’s a Whole New World, all the way to Frozen’s Into the Unknown.
Similar to the Disney hub, the Netflix one also contains podcasts from Netflix Originals. Users can listen to their favorite Netflix podcasts from shows like The Crown and Netflix is a Joke. They even have exclusive shows like ‘Rebel Robin: Surviving Hawkins (A Stranger Things Podcast)’ so fans can enjoy extra content.
This Netflix hub is only available in certain countries such as the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, and India. There is no confirmation that it will come to Malaysia, but since the Disney one arrived, you can expect the same for the Netflix hub.
