Sony Mobile announced today the availability of their most cutting-edge compact smartphone, the Xperia XZ1 Compact. Taking the compact term to the next level, Sony has included the Motion Eye camera with support for slow motion video, 3D Creator, a super wide-angle front camera and premium audio experience all into the palm of your hand.
3D creator is Sony’s in-house algorithm for fast and easy scanning of 3D objects by using the four scan modes, head scan, face scan, food scan and freeform scan. Each mode offers its own custom guides making it easy to use and after completing the scan, it allows you to make them come to live by using them as avatars on the camera’s AR effects options, third-party apps or use them as a live wallpaper.
With Motion Eye camera, you will be getting all the features including Predictive Capture and Autofocus burst which can intelligently follow your subject and adjust the focus to make sure your action shots stay sharp. By recording at 960 frames per second, it can provide you with a stunning Super slow motion video playback for your enjoyment. Finally, with the 120 degrees FOV that the front camera provides, you will always get the selfie shot with all your friends and family in it.
To wrap up all the features mentioned, the XZ1 is packed with Sony’s latest audio technologies like Hi-Res Audio, DSEE HX upscaling, LDAC, Digital Noise Cancelling and ClearAudio+. Combined with the new stereo speakers that have 50% more sound pressure, this makes the most powerful Xperia speakers ever.
Specs-wise, the phone comes with a 4.6-inch screen, Snapdragon 835, Android 8.0 and offers download speeds of up to 800Mbps. The Xperia XZ1 Compact is available starting from 23 October at the following locations Sony Store The Curve, Sony Store KLCC, Sony Online Store, Sony Centre Plaza Low Yat, Sony Centre Berjaya Times Square, Sony Centre Mid
Valley, Sony Centre Sunway Pyramid, and Sony Centre IOI Mall Puchong. It will be priced at RM2,099 and will come with four colours, White Silver, Black, Horizon Blue, and Twilight Pink.
