Sony rolls out Android 5.1 Lollipop for Xperia devices

Sony announces that they will start to roll out the latest Android 5.1, Lollipop upgrade from today for Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet. The company also mentions that after they mix Google’s latest lollipop release with the Sony software, there is a lot of improvement.

The new updates feature more customization options so you can have better control over the way volume, silent modes and your alerts function. Sony also includes LinkedIn integration to allow you be more productive with intuitive contact synchronization in your calendar. As you know Sony takes camera functionality very seriously, therefore they improve the camera with better photo taking experience and more accurate with Superior Auto Mode focus for great images by ignoring the conditions nearby.

For users that own Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z ultra you will receive the update starting over the coming weeks, then followed shortly thereafter by Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3, then the original Xperia Z series with Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Aqua.

This update was a promised that Sony made a few months ago that they will release the latest software update and it has been a long ride to wait for the officially released but fortunately, Sony did it and released the newest Android 5.1 .
