The Honor 8 is one of Honor’s most beautifully designed handsets to date. It is impressive in its own stride as well, sporting close to high end specs, including a dual rear camera configuration to top it all off. Speaking of which, we’re pretty sure not everyone wants a phone with two rear cameras. But what if a person wants the Honor 8’s design with more simple specs? Honor has the answer for you.
Huawei sub brand Honor has launched a more stripped down version of the Honor 8 – the Honor 8 Lite in Europe. Featuring a more affordable price tag, the Honor 8 Lite sports the same display as the Honor 8 – a 5.2-inch display at Full HD resolution. Underneath the hood is where we begin to spot some changes. Instead of a Kirin 950 processor, the Honor 8 Lite packs a Kirin 655 chipset with 1GB lesser RAM at 3GB. Internal storage has also been shrunk down to 16GB, thankfully, expandable via micro SD.
The Honor 8 Lite features only a sole 12MP shooter on the back with an f/2.2 aperture, rather than a dual cam setup on the Honor 8. Moving onto the front is the same 8MP selfie camera. Battery capacity also remains the same at 3,000mAh, like the original Honor 8. The price tag of the Honor 8 Lite is at a lesser €269 (RM1,283.65). Will you be expecting the Honor 8 Lite to make its way to Malaysia?
