Shell and Waze collaborate to make the trip back home safer this festive season

Shell Lubricants Malaysia has teamed up with Waze the most popular traffic and navigation app to launch Asia’s first accident-prone spots alerts to make the roads safer for drivers this coming Ramadan and Aidilfitri season. From May 16 till July 15 2017, an alert from Shell Helix will pop up on Waze to remind drivers to be careful when approaching the 50 accident-prone spots across Peninsular Malaysia, based on data submitted by Waze users, the message will only appear when the users car is stationary to avoid distracting the user.

During the pre-peak travel period, Shell will also be running a special oil change promotion for Waze users that watched its Aidilfitri video on YouTube or Facebook, where a code will flash on screen and on the Waze app giving users a RM30 discount on oil change at participating Shell Helix branded workshops and Shell Retail stations’ Lubebay service outlets.

In 2014, Shell launched the flagship Shell Helix Ultra with PurePlus Technology fully synthetic motor oil which is the first and only motor oil to feature the revolutionary gas-to-liquid technology that converts natural gas into an ultra-clean base oil. This allows the company to deliver higher levels of cleansing and protection, keeping your engine closer to an engine right out of the factory. In addition to that, it will also remove sludge left behind by inferior oils and provides wear and corrosion protection, extending the life and reducing the maintenance cost of the engine.

Shell Helix also unveiled Malaysia’s first engine warranty program, the Shell Helix Engine Warranty (S.H.E.W) last year which covers the cost of repair or replacement of 15 engine components that may fail if its proven that Shell motor oils fails to provide lubrication and protection. The program is given to all personal passenger vehicles that are registered in Malaysia and is below eight years old, recently Shell has increased the eligibility to cars with mileage of 150,000 KM or below.

finally the school holiday is arrived, currently want to bring family have a trip together. It time to change the engine oil before start my trip, can suggest which shell product is suitable for middle income worker, dun want the expensive~

you can try helix High mileage, it cover 100,000km mileage, so dun worry about your trip anymore. One more thing, if you purchase the helix series, you can register the SHARE campaign and received the benefit like shell helix engine warranty as mention above~

Wow... it have rm30 voucher and warranty so great reward... How about others types of shell helix can get above benefits as well? I'm using helix hx7 now every two month once...

I think this is something new to attract new customer... last time dint hear they have this kind reward... but still it is good to have it so i got no reason to change other engine oil... hahaha... duno when my car reach 100000km to change the high mileage one...

hahaha... if dun wan the high mileage... can choose other like helix ultra. the product got high formulation for high performance engine. Can maintain your car engine stay in good condition, the engine wont easily reach a high temperature.

Choose the semi engine oil like helix hx7 will do, but depend how long you service your car and how frequent you travel... out of so many brands i feels shell brand can trust... now even they provide the warranty then you got no reason to reject it...

okay, that was a not bad suggestion. I heard that HX7 can protect engine from wear and good oil stain cleaning. Hopefully it can make impress.

Why everyone go out trip must change engine oil? check brake and others part better than engine oil actually... i go outstaion every week then change every week? hahaha

engine oil only change when necessary, my car almost reach the mileage, so is time to change the engine oil, Your is different one. Im change the engine oil because of safety, there is the long journey waiting for me.

Can say that my car are using shell helix hx7, even my motor also using shell 2T and shell engine oil for motor, shell really that lot of engine oil product, are they really that good at engine product?

you are so supportive to shell product, hahaha, anyway did you ever try other product of engine oil? even petrol you also use shell? haha, but i see shell product not bad too, quite many workshop using it

not really, petrol sometimes i change to other, depends on which near to me that time ,hahaha, but those engine oil is because of the workshop mostly use shell, so they apply to my car also, i didnt experience other engine oil before and now...

Rarely workshop will purchase shell unless they collaborate with shell, normally i buy shell helix go change because all workshop selling those brand never heard of it
