Recently, Google released a new statement suggesting that the ‘View Images’ button is to be taken down because of the mounting pressure from publishers over copyright infringement purposes. Fortunately, this has been taken into consideration by new Chrome and Firefox extensions that brings back the button for users.
The best part of the extension is probably the fact that you don’t have to do anything once you’ve enabled it. That’s because the extension will automatically insert the ‘View Image’ button for all the images, just like how it’s been there before. And up until Google decides to remove the extension, you can enjoy using it for as long as you can.
It’s good to know that although Google may monitor and bring down the extension from the Chrome Web Store, chances of it being removed from Firefox is still minimal. The new extensions are currently available for both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers.
