Phones with display notches are a trend that not many phone makers can resist, not even the mighty Samsung. This is apparent as Samsung India had just released the first of their new range of Galaxy M series smartphones, the M10 and M20 – both of which sport notches.
The M10 and M20 are mid-ranged devices that aim to give users a bang for their buck. The pricier M20 variant costs 10,990 Rupees, or around RM640, and features a whopping 6.3-inch Full HD+ Infinity-V display, an Exynos 7904 Octa-core processor, an option of either 3GB or 4GB RAM and more.
The phone runs on Android 8.1 out of the box and sports a 13MP dual-camera setup. Samsung also boasts good battery life for the model, claiming that on a full charge you can watch 28 hours’ worth of videos.
Meanwhile, the cheaper M10 is priced at 7,990 Rupees, or RM462, and comes equipped with a smaller 6.22-inch HD+ Infinity V display, an Exynos 7870 processor, an option of either 2GB or 3GB RAM and more. The M10 will also run on Android 8.1 and get the same 13MP dual-camera setup.
The M10 and M20 are currently only available in India, but it could soon make its way to local shores and would make for worthy competitors to their mid-range counterparts.
