Samsung’s first ever mid range dual camera smartphone is out

Just recently, Samsung’s Note line of smartphones was brought back to life with the unveiling of the Galaxy Note 8. Apart from its top notch specs, and its somewhat unfortunate resemblance to the Galaxy S8 series, the company’s latest flagship phablet is the first ever Samsung device with a dual camera setup. That has changed as the company has launched another dual camera smartphone, this time a more affordable one.

The Galaxy J7 Plus has been leaked lately and it has finally been silently launched by Samsung. The entire spec sheet speaks mid range, starting with the 5.5-inch AMOLED display on the front. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 processor instead of a Snapdragon chip, and features 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.

While the Galaxy J7 Plus is a mid ranger compared to the Galaxy Note 8, the dual rear camera setup of the former device shouldn’t disappoint at all. The Galaxy J7 Plus sports a setup of 13MP and 5MP sensors with f/1.7 and f/1.9 apertures respectively. The front facing 16MP camera will definitely suit selfie enthusiasts as well. It packs a 3,000mAh battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Samsung’s second dual camera smartphone is currently available on its official Thailand website for pre orders. The Galaxy J7 costs 12,990 THB (RM 1,667.79) and by the looks of it, should be made available in Malaysia pretty soon.
