Most of Samsung’s Galaxy flagship smartphones have never failed to impress when they are launched. The phones further impress when it comes to their sales as well, smashing the company’s own records and pushing way past targets set for each ones. The same can be said for the long awaited Galaxy Note 8 phablet, which happens to be the first official Note smartphone by Samsung in two years discounting the recalled Galaxy Note 7.

According to South Korean local news outlet Yonhap News Agency, at least 10,000 units of the Galaxy Note 8 have been sold daily so far in October. If that’s impressive, the phablet performed even better during the last week of September when 20,000 to 30,000 units of the phone were sold each day. Do bear in mind that these figures are only from the South Korean market, which translates to a near quarter of a million units sold in the last week of September.

The record figure however isn’t very surprising as Samsung managed to rake in over 850,000 pre-orders in South Korea alone for the Galaxy Note 8. The latest flagship by the company is its first ever with a dual rear camera, along with an attractive bezel-less display design plus the equipped S-Pen. It looks like Samsung is still going strong despite Apple’s launch the iPhone 8 series and the iPhone X.
