Samsung rolls out Gear VR specific browser.

If you’re one of the few people in Malaysia who owns a Samsung Gear VR to go with your Galaxy Smartphone, you might be interested to know that there is a web browser that is tailor made just for your VR headset. 

Dubbed the Internet for Gear VR, this browser comes with features that allows its users to enjoy the internet in a more immersive way. Key amongst those feature is Gaze Mode, which allows users to select menus by looking at them. No finger movement is required for this mode. For text input, Internet for Gear VR comes with its own voice recognition technology as well as an on-screen keyboard.

As a browser, Internet for Gear VR supports 360-degree and 3D video streaming. It is also capable of supporting HTML5 media playback.

For those interested, the app can now be downloaded through the Oculus Store. Do be warned though that the app is currently in its Beta Phase, and as such, may have a couple of bugs and glitches in it.
