Samsung Malaysia launches 2023 Smart Monitor lineup

Samsung Malaysia has introduced the 2023 Smart Monitor line up, consisting the new Smart Monitor M8 and M7, they feature visual upgrades over their predecessors and for a limited time, customers can purchase them at a significant discount from their usual prices.

The new M80C and M70C are made available in 32-inch sizes, which is the most popular display size when it comes to the company’s Smart Monitors, these monitors feature Samsung’s Tizen OS that’s also available on their TVs, which allows you to use it as both a PC monitor and an entertainment hub, and it is extremely useful if you don’t have room for a TV and just want an all-in-one display.

Both monitors feature the same Iconic Slim Design, measuring just 11.39mm at the thinnest point, while having an organic, chic herringbone pattern applied to the back of both their backs.

Both smart monitors have an adjustable height stand that can also be pivoted in 90 degrees for vertical content. Although these are 4K monitors, they have different brightness levels with the M8 showing up to 400 nits and the M7 showing up to 300 nits while covering 99% of sRGB color space, the M8 supports HDR10+ and the M7 supports HDR10 standards.

In terms of I/Os, both Smart Monitors will come with one HDMI 2.0, one USB-C with 65W PD charging and two USB-A ports.

Similar to their predecessors, these Smart Monitors can be used as a PC-less monitor as it comes with Microsoft 365 and a built-in web browser, which all you need is to connect a keyboard and mouse to the their USB ports and you are all set, the Smart Monitor M80C even comes with a magnetic SlimFit camera that does 1080p video calls on Google Meet and other apps.

Furthermore, the Smart Monitor M80C can also be used as an IoT hub for Zigbee and Thread smart home devices on top of support Samsung SmartThings, users also have the option to use Bixby or Alexa as their voice assistants on the Smart Monitor M80C and M70C, which both come with built-in far field microphones that allow users to wake up their preferred voice assistant from anywhere in the room.

Lastly, these Smart Monitors are capable of showing up your photos, weather and more at a glance in standby mode when it detects a registered smartphone through Bluetooth Low Energy.

The 2023 Samsung Smart Monitor M80C and M70C retail for RM3,588 and RM2,788 respectively, for a limited time from 28 June to 9 July 2023, customers will be able to purchase the M80C at RM2,888 and the M70C at RM2,238.
