A report from Korea surfaced that states the Samsung Gear S4 will release alongside the Galaxy Note 9 on 9 August.
Samsung is said to be using Panel Level Packaging to build the application processor for the watch, this allows the device to be cheaper and based on Samsung, thinner as well. The report adds that Samsung is experimenting with this new technology starting with the Gear S4, and we will soon see it in future devices. Based on a Weibo post by leaker Ice Universe, the Gear S4 will have a bigger battery compared to the Gear S3.
Other than the Gear S4, the Galaxy Tab S4, Bixby 2.0 and Galaxy Note 9 will all release at the same time. It will be interesting to see how Samsung progresses with Bixby as well as their tablets, seeing as their assistant has not picked up much traction and Android tablets have almost become non-existent.
