Samsung GALAXY Tab S 10.5 users can start licking Android Lollipop

Samsung may have introduced Android Lollipop on to their flagship smartphones already and merely a few days later of our report of the GALAXY Tab S 8.4 receiving Android Lollipop, the update has actually reached our lab’s GALAXY Tab S 10.5, no jokes here, but our very own unit is a Malaysian purchased one.

Android Lollipop brings many improvements on to the table such as a whole new Material UI design and performance improvements thanks to 64-bit processor support, the update is available over-the-air and users can simply tap on the check software update button in About Device to initiate the update, the file size is pretty huge at 980MB so make sure you have internal storage upon updating.

In our first impressions, Android Lollipop does indeed bring slight performance improvements to the device and you will actually notice a couple of Samsung’s default apps adapting Google’s Material UI design similar to the company’s flagships, however most parts of TouchWiz remain unchanged. If the update hasn’t reach your device, fret not as Samsung delivers such updates in batches. We hope to hear your comments after upgrading to Android Lollipop on your GALAXY Tab S.
