The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 may only arrive next year, but the Galaxy Tab A8 is expected to launch before this year ends.
Renders of the Galaxy Tab A8 have been revealed a few weeks ago; the design doesn’t differ much from its predecessor, so you’ll still see thick bezels around the display and a single camera setup on its back.
However, the camera lens seems to have switched from a squarish module to a circular design.
Rumored Galaxy Tab A8 specs
Under the hood, this phone is expected to come with a Unisoc T618 chip, though that may differ when it launches in Malaysia. It’s also expected to sport 3GB/4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.
You’ll still get the same 7,040mAh battery with this tablet, and it’s unlikely that Samsung will upgrade its charging speed, meaning it’ll support 15W fast charge.
The Galaxy Tab A8 is also leaked to come with an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm audio jack.
It’s said to be available in Gold, Silver and Gray; Samsung will be offering it in two variants – LTE and WiFi only.
In other news, Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Tab S7 FE in Malaysia.
