Samsung dominance over the smartphone market has been going on for quite some time now, despite the increase in competition from fellow manufacturers including new players. The South Korean manufacturing giant has since unveiled the Galaxy S8 flagship series, which is dubbed as one of the best smartphones of all time. However, that still does not take the lime light away from last year’s Galaxy S7 series, having hit sn impressive 55 million shipments since it was launched.

Although it has been more than a year since the Galaxy S7’s launch, Samsung still managed to sell 7.2 million units of its 2016 flagship from January to March this year according to statistics by Strategy Analytics. It isn’t much of a surprise at all since the Galaxy S7 series pretty much stood its ground throughout the whole of 2016, especially when the Galaxy Note 7 crisis happened.

It is safe to say that Samsung still managed to thrive having launched one sole flagship last year. As impressive as the figures can be, the newly launched Galaxy S8 is expected to surpass its predecessor(s) in terms of sales. The handset sports a front with minimal bezels surrounding a beautiful display, along with Samsung’s brand new Bixby voice assistant. How well do you think the Galaxy S8 will perform?
