Samsung’s anticipated flagship series will be launching next month at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event. We know a thing or two about how the phone will look and its specs, but what about its price?
Thanks to reliable leakster Roland Quandt (@rquandt), we can estimate how much the phones will cost locally.
Whoever said S22 series was to be cheaper, didn't think of Covid, parts shortages and inflation.
Actual official EURO prices:
S22 8/128GB = 849
S22 8/256GB = 899
S22+ 8/128GB = 1049
S22+ 8/256GB = 1099
S22 Ultra 8/128GB = 1249
S22 Ultra 12/256GB = 1349
S22 Ultra 12/512GB = 1449 pic.twitter.com/QRnfrhkzTz— Roland Quandt (@rquandt) January 22, 2022
Estimated price in MYR
Galaxy S22:
- 8GB+128GB (~RM4,025)
- 8GB+256GB (~RM4,262)
Galaxy S22+:
- 8GB+128GB (~RM4,973)
- 8GB+256GB (~RM5,210)
Galaxy S22 Ultra:
- 8GB+128GB (~RM5,921)
- 12GB+256GB (~RM6,396)
- 12GB+512GB (~RM6,870)
Compared to its predecessor, it seems like the Galaxy S22 Ultra will not come with 16GB of RAM with the 512GB storage variant. This might be disappointing to some but 12GB is realistically enough to offer you snappy responses so it shouldn’t be too big of an issue.
It’s also good to note that the MYR prices were directly converted from EUR, meaning the devices might be a tad bit cheaper when they launch locally.
The Galaxy S22 series will be unveiled in just a few weeks so we won’t have to wait long now for an official announcement from Samsung. Stay tuned as we provide you on future updates.
