The successor to the Samsung Galaxy S10 will apparently break an age-old naming convention for the Korean giants – reliable leakster Ice Universe has revealed that the upcoming entry will be called Galaxy S20, denoting the year 2020 as well as a “new beginning”.

With that said, we’ll first be seeing the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, which is a more affordable version of the flagship – and it’s said to be announced during 2020’s CES convention. Once that’s out of the way, we’ll likely hear more about the S20.

As Ice Universe claims, Samsung’s new beginning for the series could either mean two things – a radical change to the overall design of the device; or just a change in name just for the sake of it.

Also in the news is the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 – this info also comes courtesy of Ice Universe. He’s tweeted a photo of the purported device and as we already know, it’s a clamshell foldable phone. Plus, he adds that the device will use an ‘ultra-thin’ glass to make the phone thinner and tougher.

These are all rumours for now, so stick with us as we bring you updates on Samsung’s latest offerings.
