Samsung accidentally revealed the launch of the Galaxy Home Mini when the company posted an announcement regarding its arrival on February 12 — the article has been taken down.
However, thanks to a screenshot before the article is removed, it has been confirmed that the Galaxy Home Mini will be available for KRW 99,000 the day after Samsung’s Unpacked event in San Francisco. The speaker will also be equipped with Bixby and an IR remote control function, meaning that you will need voice commands to control the speaker.
The Galaxy Home Mini has been introduced since August 2018 but unfortunately, it has been delayed till now. Perhaps Samsung has finally integrated something unique into this speaker, leading to its launch alongside the Galaxy S20 series on February 11.
However, there are already competitors like Google and Amazon who have a strong presence in the market. Samsung either needs a ridiculously good marketing strategy to sell the Galaxy Home Mini, unless the speaker has unique features that can’t be found on the Google Nest Mini and the Alexa Echo.
