Samsung Galaxy F62 launched with Exynos 9825 and 7,000mAh battery

The Samsung Galaxy F62 has been launched in India, and that may make the device irrelevant to Malaysians; but this smartphone is quite an interesting entry, packing a host of impressive features that may appeal to local audience.

Design

The first thing that stands out about the device is its peculiar design – the phone’s familiar blocky frame, combined with a square camera module are accented by a pretty gradient finish that sees either green, black, or blue flow from the top to slowly fading into while at the bottom. The back panel also looks like it’s etched with textured vertical lines.

Specs

Under the hood, you get the new Exynos 9825 chipset that’s comparable to the Snapdragon 855 – meaning you can expect some decent flagship-level performance on the Galaxy F62. For memory and storage, you get up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of internal storage.

Powering the device is a massive 7,000mAh battery that supports up to 25W of fast charging. The phone doesn’t look all hefty, considering how large the batter is.

For imaging, the phone packs a 64MP quad-camera system that consist of a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 5MP bokeh, and a 5MP macro lens.

Price and availability

The phone is priced from $330 (about RM1,332) and will go on sale in India this 22 February; there’s no word on whether it’ll arrive in Malaysia, but we can see this being a popular midrange option in the country.
