Samsung continues its efforts to pick up the pieces after the death of its flagship phablet – the Galaxy Note 7. The company has stopped the sale of all Galaxy Note 7’s worldwide after its replacement units turned out to be equally as fire prone from a second string of tragedies. The Korean manufacturer looks to strengthen its grip in the Chinese market with an addition to the China exclusive C series handsets.
The Samsung Galaxy C9 that has been rumored for quite some time now has finally gotten a launch date, courtesy of a teaser cum media invite. The date of the launch is set for October 21, less than two days from now. The phone is rumored to sport a 6-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 652 processor plus a whopping 6GB of RAM. The 6GB of RAM will be Samsung’s first in history, considering the fact that previously launched 6GB RAM handsets only come from Chinese manufacturers.
Like the freshly launched OPPO R9s and R9s Plus, the Galaxy C9 is said to be featuring 16MP shooters both on its front and back as well, bringing it head to head with the larger also 6-incher OPPO R9s Plus. On top of that, the Galaxy C9 is tipped to be packing a 4,000mAh battery for its processing package, plus a near 2016-mandatory fingerprint reader embedded in the home button. What are your thoughts on the Samsung Galaxy C9 before it sees the light this Friday?
