While everyone is still excited over the Galaxy Note 10 series, Samsung also took the chance to announce its Galaxy Book S — the successor to the Galaxy Book 2.

The Galaxy Book S comes with a 13.3-inch FHD TFT display. Weighing at 0.96kg, it’s not only lightweight but also ultra-slim as it’s only 11.8mm thick. The notebook also has a 720p HD camera in addition to stereo speakers that support Dolby Almost technology.

The Galaxy Book S is also the first retail notebook that is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx processor. It runs on Windows OS and sports 8GB RAM paired with 256/512GB storage, but can power up at quickly as a smartphone. Its instant-on feature will let you switch on your notebook as quickly as your smartphone and you can also access your phone’s files with the Galaxy Book S via an app called Your Phone.

The notebook also has a 42Wh battery that is reported to offer up to 23 hours of video playback. It also has LTE Cat.18 cellular connection so you don’t have to solely depend on WiFi networks to get online accessibility.

This notebook is available in two colours — Earthy Gold and Mercury Gray. It is set to launch in September and unfortunately, its pricing and availability have not been confirmed.
