Samsung and Maybank users can experience Samsung Pay early access

With everything slowly connecting to our mobile, Samsung Malaysia Electronics has finally announced its partnership with Maybank to bring Samsung Pay to your pockets. Maybank customers can now experience its first mobile payment service that is simple, secure, and accepted almost anywhere that accepts either NFC or MST payments.

Maybank is the first bank to join Samsung Pay ecosystem in Malaysia, hence, Maybank customers will get a firsthand experience as Samsung Pay can currently be accessed by Maybank Visa cardholders as part of an exclusive early access programme until 11 February 2017. More banks and merchants are later expected to join Samsung’s partnership upon the official launch of Samsung Pay in the coming weeks.

In order to make a payment with your Samsung Pay, just swipe up on your eligible Salaxy smartphone, scan your fingerprint, and pay. Samsung also made sure of its security, as Samsung Pay actually uses three layers of security to enable secure payments – fingerprint authentication, tokenization, and Samsung KNOX.

As of now, Samsung Pay is compatible with Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, S6 edge+, Note5, Galaxy A5 (2017 and 2016), and Galaxy A7 (2017 and 2016). You can also be one of the 500 users to win RM100 cashback for every RM500 cumulatively spent via Samsung Pay; only for Maybank customers, of course.
