Google is planning to release an affordable and smaller Google home that is slated to launch later this year alongside the new Pixel phone and a new Chromebook Pixel. The new home assistant is reportedly smaller and cheaper than the regular Google home which is currently priced at $129.

There are currently no details on the speaker but it is said to rival the popular Amazon Echo Dot which is able to convert your speakers into an Alexa-enabled device. In addition to that, is the Chromebook Pixel which will run on the Chrome OS and not the combination of the Chrome OS and Android which was rumoured to happen sooner or later. Google has publically announced that they have no plans to kill of the Chrome OS although there have been rumours that the company was planing to merge the OS with Android.
