Xiaomi’s Mi Band series always sell like hotcakes – it usually offers more features than its competitors, while costing less. To build on that reputation, the brand will count on Redmi and its upcoming Smart Band Pro.
The device packs a 1.47-inch AMOLED panel, housed in a squarish rectangular chassis that helps differentiate it from the more oblong shaped-panel of the Mi Band. It supports 8-bit colours and a wide 100% NTSC colour output as well.
In terms of build quality, the panel is layered with a 2.5D tempered glass panel, while the watch frame is built with polycaprolactam, reinforced with glass fibre. The watch has a 5 ATM waterproof rating as well.
Under the hood, you get a PPG heart-rate sensor, blood oxygen monitoring, over 110 fitness modes, sleep quality tracking, stress level monitoring and more.
In terms of battery life, Redmi claims that you’ll get 14 days of typical use, or 20 days in power-saving mode.
There’s no word on the price and availability of the Redmi Smart Band Pro yet, but we’ll keep you posted on the latest developments in due time.
