There has been speculations going around since Xiaomi’s President Lin Bin posted a teaser post on his Weibo account regarding a smartphone with 48MP camera, and now it has been revealed to be the Redmi Note 7.

The Redmi Note 7 comes with 6.3-inch 1080p screen, a waterdrop notch and a fingerprint sensor on its back. Fortunately, the phone still comes with a headphone jack, and uses a USB-C port.

That aside, the Redmi Note 7 sports a Snapdragon 660 processor and has up to 6GB RAM with up to 64GB storage. Similar to its predecessors, the Redmi Note 7 comes with a 4000mAh battery.

Now the Redmi Note 7 is Redmi’s first 48MP phone with f/1.8 aperture paired with a 5MP secondary sensor. It is said to have a slightly larger sensor which can gather more light for photos with better lighting and on its front, the phone houses a 13MP selfie camera.

The Redmi Note 7 starts at CNY999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant, but can go up to CNY1,399 for the model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. When converted to MYR, the phone costs less than RM900 even with its highest-end model. Currently, the Redmi Note 7 will only be available in China but it will be rolling out to other countries at a later date.
