Xiaomi Redmi 9T launched in Malaysia: Priced from RM599

The Redmi 9T is now launched and it brings impressive improvements over the regular Redmi 9, which was launched in the middle of last year. You can watch our unboxing of the phone here!

The phone packs a 6.53-inch FHD+ IPS panel is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added protection. The panel is TUV Rheinland and L1 Widevine certified.

The design of the phone is familiar, while the back panel boasts a textured-anti-fingerprint plastic panel that looks very nice. The Redmi 9T comes in Carbon Gray, Twilight Blue, Sunrise Orange, and Ocean Green.

When it comes to imaging, the phone packs a 48MP quad-camera setup along with an 8MP ultrawide shooter, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. Over on the front is an 8MP selfie shooter.

Under the hood is a Snapdragon 662 chipset along with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone should be able to offer you a relatively smooth browsing and gaming experience thanks to its very capable chipset.

The phone comes with a 6,000mAh battery with support for up to 18W of fast charging. A 22.5W charger comes in the box and powers your phone via USB-C.

At this point, if the specs seem familiar to you, that’s because the POCO M3 has very similar hardware too! This one offers a better panel, an extra lens, and larger battery however.

So with the price tag that starts from RM599, this is a great pick for folks who want a pretty device that can handle anything you throw at it. Visit Xiaomi’s Shopee or Lazada page to make your purchase.
