We have already heard of the Redmi Note 7 that is said to be arriving in Malaysia soon, but in China on 18 March, the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be launched and in addition to that, there will be a new device from the company, allegedly the Redmi 7.
It was spotted on Redmi President Lu Weibing’s Weibo post where he confirmed that another device besides the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be launched during the event. However, it is unsure whether the device will really go with the name Redmi 7.
What is confirmed about the phone is the availability of a headphone jack, and a large battery of 4,000mAh battery. Other than that, TENAA listing revealed that the Redmi 7 will have a 6.2-inch IPS LCD HD+ display in addition to a water drop notch that supports a 8MP front camera.
Apart from that, the Redmi 7 will be powered by a Snapdragon 632 processor with 2/3/4GB RAM and 16/32/64GB storage, with expandable storage through a microSD card. It will also be shipped with MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie, and there will be a dual camera setup in which one of the cameras is of 12MP.
As for the pricing, you can expect the Redmi 7 to come at a reasonable price around CNY700 to CNY800 which is around RM425 to RM486, but as for its availability, we’ll have to wait longer to know.
