August is an interesting month – mostly thanks to Samsung’s Unpacked event and along with it the launch of the Galaxy Note 10 series. Sights are set on an August 7 launch of the device, but it looks like Redmi is looking to crash the party.

According to a post on Twitter, it looks like the Xiaomi sub-brand will introduce their 64MP camera smartphone on that date. It isn’t sure if the company will actually launch the phone, or it’ll be more of a showcase demo of the device like what Realme will be doing with their 64MP phone on August 8.

If they do launch it, they can lay claim to the title of ‘first 64MP smartphone’, one-upping Realme. There will definitely a lot to talk about in the coming days when these devices make their debut.
