realme GT Neo2 launched in Malaysia: New flagship with Snapdragon 870 and 120Hz display

Earlier today, realme concluded their Global Launch Event which introduced their latest flagship phone – the realme GT Neo2.

This flagship device sports a new and improved design with a 52°curvature on the back, Matte AG and Dual Glass Tone finish, and a x-axis linear motor all under its 8.6mm Thin Body.

Its display has also got updated with an upgrade to a 120 Hz AMOLED E4 display that peaks at 1300 nits of brightness. Additionally, realme mentioned a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a touch sample rate of 600 Hz. The phone comes in at a 6.62” large display that has an improved 15% power saving compared to its predecessor.

The internal specifications have also been enhanced and the realme GT Neo2 now utilizes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor that includes 5G capabilities paired next to a Adreno 650 GPU. Alongside this, the device has up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 Storage. realme even mentioned an extra 7GB virtual RAM available for the device.

The GT Neo2 has improved battery life with a 5000mAh Battery that supports a 65W SuperDart Charge which realme claims can give you a full charge in just 36 minutes. This battery powers the new Dolby Atmos Dual Stereo Speakers which may give you a better experience when consuming content. This device also includes a 8-layer cooling system which improves thermals for any task.

The camera has some changes as well, with the focus on street photography in mind. This camera implements a 64MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro lens. All these features will be supported by the newly announced realme UI 3.0.
