The realme 5 and realme 5 Pro have made their debuts today in Malaysia and with their “Dare to Leap” spirit, realme has jumped from dual camera setups to quad camera setups with its new smartphones.
Starting with the realme 5 Pro, the device has a 6.3-inch FHD+ screen paired with a dewdrop notch. On the back, the realme 5 Pro sports a nanometer holographic display with cutting texture to offer a beautiful visual for the eyes. You will also see the quad camera setup and a fingerprint sensor on the back.
Under the hood, the realme 5 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 712 AIE processor and comes with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The storage is expandable up to 256GB and the phone ships with ColorOS 6 based on Android Pie. Moreover, the realme 5 Pro has a 4,035mAh battery which supports 20W VOOC Flash Charge 3.0.
In terms of cameras, the realme 5 Pro has a 48MP main lens with HDR, Nightscape and Chroma Boost features. It also comes with an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP portrait lens. On its front, you’ll spot a 16MP selfie camera that support HDR and AI Beautification.
On the other hand, the realme 5 has a bigger screen measuring at 6.5 inches. It comes with HD+ resolution and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3+. Similar to the pro version, the realme 5 also sports a holographic design paired with a physical fingerprint mount on its rear.
The realme 5 is integrated with a Snapdragon 665 AIE processor and comes with up to 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. It also ships with ColorOS 6 based on Android Pie and has a bigger battery than its sibling — a 5,000mAh battery.
Although the realme 5 doesn’t come with a 48MP main lens, it still has a quad camera setup. Apart from its 12MP main camera, the device also has an 8MP ultra wide lens, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP portrait lens. The 16MP front camera also supports AI features.
The realme 5 is available in Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple. The 3GB RAM and 64GB storage variant costs RM599 whereas the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs RM799. The realme 5 Pro is available in Crystal Green and Sparkling Blue and can be purchased at RM1,099. The realme 5’s first sale will start from October 17 while the realme 5 Pro’s first sale will begin from October 10.
Both devices will have online sale exclusively on Lazada. Those who choose to purchase the phones on Lazada on October 10 will also be getting a limited edition Alan Walker earphones. However, those who are interested in the realme 5 Pro can already pre-order the phones from today until October 11.
