Razer opens pre-orders for the OSVR HDK 2 VR headset

With virtual reality headset news mostly dominated by HTC and Oculus, it is easy to forget that other companies have been busy at work developing their own VR headset as well. Case in point, Razer. The gaming peripheral makers have announced that pre-orders for the company’s second OSVR development kit is now open.

Called the HDK 2, Razer’s second VR headset will come with a new 2160×1200, low persistence OLED display running at 90 frames per second. While the HDK2 itself doesn’t include controllers, OSVR itself supports input from dozens of hardware manufacturers, including Nod and Leap Motion.

The HDK 2 itself will be available for USD 399 (RM 1,622), and the device will begin shipping on the 29th of July. Those who order a headset through the 28th of July will receive Descent: Underground and Radial G: Racing Revolved for free.
