Rakuten Kobo has officially introduced its eReaders to the Malaysian market through local distributor Ingram Micro, customers will also have access to a localized Kobo.com bookstore and it currently sells books from local publishers Mentor Publishing, Odonata Publishing, Exact Publisher and Hup Lick Publishing.
Four Kobo eReaders are being offered in Malaysia, including the newly launched Kobo Clara 2E, which boasts a 6-inch HD e-ink display and comes with 16GB of storage that can store up to 12,000 eBooks or 75 Kobo Audiobooks, the Clara 2E is also a IPX8 waterproof eReader that enables it to submerge under 2 metres of water for up to 60 minutes, which can be useful for those who wants to read at their bath tub or pool.
Other Kobo eReader models are the Kobo Nia, Kobo Libra 2 and Kobo Sage, all of which will go on sale this month at Kobo.com and its official store on Lazada and Shopee, as well as major IT retailers such as Mono Digital, ALL IT Hypermarket, Flash Gadgets, Quantum Gadgets, Popular Malaysia and SMB + Enterprise.
