Earlier this week during Qualcomm’s annual Tech Summit, they announced their flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and now we get a look at the new chip that Qualcomm has in store – the Snapdragon G3x Gen 1.

This chip isn’t just for mobile phones, as the Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 won’t be limited in size or thermals because it was not made to exclusively fit a smartphone, so this will allow you to stream games from a console, PC, or cloud service, which would be great for anyone who likes to game on the go.

As for the specifications of the Snapdragon G3x Gen 1, Qualcomm disclosed very little information and only revealed that it uses a Kryo CPU alongside an Adreno GPU that will give you 144fps when running games at a 4K resolution with 10-bit HDR enabled. It is also revealed that it will include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and Snapdragon Sound support.

But perhaps the most interesting reveal of the chip, was the Snapdragon G3x Handheld Gaming Developer Kit made by Razer, to test the capabilities of the chip. The device has a 6.65-inch FHD+ OLED display that pushes a 120Hz refresh rate and has a FHD 5MP webcam that can record at 60fps, which is all being powered by a 6,000mAh battery.

And of course, this is only made for developers so you won’t be able to purchase this product. No other devices carrying the chip have been announced yet either, as developers need to get their hands on this chip in order to start making devices with it.
