Qualcomm shows off Snapdragon 835 powered Windows laptops with 24 hours battery life

The default processors that come in laptops are either Intel or AMD, but now Qualcomm wants to join the party and recently announced the HP Envy x2 tablet and an Asus NovaGo ultrabook which are both equipped with the Snapdragon 835 processors and is said to provide two days of battery life.

HP Envy x2

The Envy x2 will come with a 12.3-inch WUXGA+ display, Snapdragon 835 Mobile PC Platform chip, 8GB LPDDR4, up to 256GB of storage and pre-installed with Windows 10 S. The Asus NovaGo, on the other hand, comes with a 13.3-inch FHD panel, Snapdragon 835 Mobile PC Platform, 8GB of RAM and storage of up to 256GB UFS 2.0. This device will also come pre-installed with Windows 10 S.

Asus NovaGo

The chip maker is providing this solution mainly because users demand at least a full day of use on their phones, they want to extend this battery life demand over to laptops. These PCs will be running on Windows 10 but they will be emulating non-UWP apps, so users should expect slightly slower performance but you will be getting 14 to 24 hours of battery life easily.
