As a refresher, the Redmi Note 9 is a 6.53-inch device with a FHD+, punch hole display panel. What’s more interesting is that the phone comes with a back-mounted fingerprint sensor, something we haven’t see in a while.
When it comes to cameras, the phone has a 48MP main lens, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera here is a 13MP module which is also capable of face unlock.
Under the hood, you’ll find a capable MediaTek Helio G85 chipset alongside 3GB or 4GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage.
The phone is powered with a sizeable 5,020mAh battery and has support for 18W of fast charging. The phone is available in three colours – Midnight Grey, Forest Green, and Polar Frost.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro
Next is the Redmi Note 9 Pro which packs a larger 6.67-inch FHD+ panel. The punch hole camera here is housed in the middle of the display instead of the top left.
For cameras, you get a 64MP main lens, which is accompanied by an 8MP shooter, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, you get a 16MP shooter too.
In terms of hardware, the Redmi Note 9 Pro has a Snapdragon 720G chipset alongside 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage as mentioned before. The phone has the same 5,020mAh battery but it supports a faster 30W of fast charging.
There’s also a new haptic feedback vibration system that makes your phone vibrate differently depending on which app you’re using.
