Pokémon Go is finally making its way to Asia as TechCrunch has reported that the game will go live in Japan tomorrow.

According to TechCrunch’s sources, those in Japan will be able gain access to Pokémon Go tomorrow when the servers go live. Previously, Niantic CEO John Hanke has stated that Pokémon Go has yet to arrive in the Pokémon franchise’s birthplace due to fears of demand for the game far exceeding the server capacity. Originally scheduled for an “end of July” launch, it seems that both Nintendo and Niantic have ironed out the server problems and will be launching the game ahead of schedule.

Besides the game itself, Niantic will also be introducing sponsored locations into Pokémon Go, and as it turns out, the leaks that reveal that McDonalds would be the first company to be a “sponsored location” has turned out to be real. Over 3,000 McDonalds restaurants in Japan will be turned into gyms starting from tomorrow, although no word was given as to how long this sponsorship would last.

Finally, TechCrunch further states that Pokémon Go will also be coming to a number of Asian countries within the next two weeks, so the long, long wait to finally be a Pokémon Go master is nearly over.
