Pokémon Go to implement daily quests and rewards in a future update

In yet another move to retain players, Niantic is prepping a new Pokémon Go patch that would see the game implement a daily quest feature that would reward players with in-game items.

Some of the quests that will be coming to Pokémon Go includes tasks like catch a Pokémon every day. If you manage to do so, you’ll get 500 XP and 600 Stardust for your trouble. There will also be a weekly quest version where you’ll need to catch a Pokémon for seven days straight. Accomplishing this will net you a larger bonus of 2,000 XP and 2,400 Stardust.

PokéStops will also be getting quests that are similar to catching Pokémon. Visiting a PokéStop every day will net you 500 XP and some items, while doing it every day for seven days in a row will give you 2,000 XP and a greater number of items.

These daily quests will refresh at 12AM local time, so if you’ve accomplished the quests any time during the day, you’ll be able to do those quests again when midnight rolls around.
