Despite the declining app use of Pokemon Go, the app boasts more than 500 million downloads to date. And today at Apple’s September Keynote live from San Francisco, Apple has announced that Pokemon Go is arriving to the Apple Watch.
Pokemon Go on the Apple Watch looks basically like a simplified yet useful version its iOS counterpart. By the looks of it, the Apple Watch Pokemon Go app might just reduce the number of mishaps and accidents caused by the recklessness of Pokemon Go players. The display of the Apple Watch will show the amount of distance required for players to hatch their 2km, 5km or 10km eggs. On top of that, the app will also show additional information on the player’s fitness. The cool part comes into play where the app will alert users once they hit a Poke Stop or when a wild Pokemon appears, making it somewhat more handy than staring at your phone while walking around.
With Pokemon Go on the Apple Watch, we’ll probably look at more kilometers added to the whopping 4.6 million kilometers already covered by users of the app. Pokemon Go for Apple Watch will be made available later this year.
