Panasonic's Lumix GF9 takes 4K videos and selfies for less than RM2,400

Smartphone makers aren’t the only ones aggressively promoting selfie cameras, as we get to see Panasonic’s latest Lumix GF9 compact interchangeable lens camera being unveiled here today, the camera features a 16-megapixel Micro 4/3 sensor that is capable of taking 4K videos, while featuring a complete set of features for those who loves taking selfies all the time.

The camera’s build quality is a rather solid one just like the previous GF8, featuring an all metal build and leather skin on the front. When it comes to its imaging features, selfie lovers will get to enjoy a new 4K Photo feature, with three types of burst modes, users can capture every moment in a staggering 30 fps at an 8-megapixel resolution, hence you won’t miss out any funny reactions when you look at the camera. On top of that, the GF9 also features beautifying features such as Soft Skin, Defocusing and Slimming which beautifies your facial features, users can also post process their photos directly on the camera with Aesthetic Retouch, while navigation is rather user friendly with its touch enabled 3-inch display.

One of the most interesting hardware feature on the GF9 would be its secondary shutter button for the convenience of taking front facing photos, it is particularly convenient when taking group pictures as the user may either use side of their hands to hold the camera. The GF9 also has built-in WiFi for easily transferring pictures to your smartphone using the Panasonic Imaging app, and it also supports charging via its MicroUSB port so you won’t need to hunt for an AC wall socket all the time. For the more advanced selfie folks, the GF9 can shoot amd develop RAW images in both sRGB and Adobe RGB color spaces.

The Panasonic Lumix GF9 is available in colours of Silver, Black, Orange or Pink, the camera comes with a 12-32mm kit lens and will retail at RM2,399.
