OPPO has officially launched the Reno8 T series, comprising a 5G and 4G model, these are mid-range spec devices with great portrait photography capabilities, and they are more affordable than their non-T siblings.
Unlike other phone series that usually come equip with lower end hardware, the Reno8 T 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset mated to 8GB RAM and 256GB of expandable storage, it features a 3D curved 6.7-inch AMOLED display that refreshes at 120Hz with a 120Hz sampling rate that can be increased to 1000Hz instantly in supported games.
The Reno8 T 5G is also equipped with OPPO’s first 108MP portrait camera, complemented by a 40x microlens that allows you to take microscopic close up shots on objects and a 2MP depth camera, while selfies are serviced by a 32MP front camera. Battery wise, the Reno8T 5G has a 4800mAh cell and can be charged to 100% in 44 minutes with 67W SuperVOOC, it also claims a lifespan of up to 1600 charging cycles.
On the other hand, the Reno8T 4G is powered by a Mediatek Helio G99 chipset mated to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, it has a smaller 6.43-inch AMOLED display that pushes FHD resolution at 90Hz, it also features a 100MP Portrait Camera that’s complemented by a 2MP microlens with 20x or 40x magnification, seflies are serviced by the same 32MP camera.
The Reno8 T 4G gets a 5000mAh battery and supports 33W SuperVOOC fast charging.
The Reno8 T series will ship with ColorOS 13 and Android 13 out of the box, the 5G variant will be available for preorder starting today with color options of Sunrise Gold and Midnight Black at RM1,799, while the 4G variant can only be preordered starting from 14th February 2023 onwards with a RM1,499 retail price.
