OPPO may have launched its quad camera phones recently (the A9 2020 and A5 2020), but the company is once again teasing another quad camera smartphone that will be coming soon to Malaysia.

According to OPPO, this smartphone is “rumoured to have brilliant capture experience without any hindrance,” so we should be looking at another 48MP quad camera that could take various kinds of pictures. This time, all four cameras will be vertically aligned — unlike the A9 2020.

The current OPPO Reno 10x Zoom sports a triple camera setup in a vertical alignment, but this mysterious phone has one more than the Reno 10x Zoom. We’re guessing its the OPPO Reno2 series — where its already launched in India.

If so, then we might be seeing three variants of the new Reno2 series — the Reno2, Reno2 Z and also Reno2 F. The Reno2 sports a 48MP main camera, a 13MP telephoto lens, an 8MP wide angle sensor and a 2MP mono lens. On the other hand, the Reno2 Z and Reno2 F replaced the 13MP telephoto lens with a 2MP portrait lens.

Of course, these are just our speculations. OPPO Malaysia hasn’t provided conclusive details about the quad camera phone, but if we’re right, then we’ll be getting the Reno2 series just five months after the first Reno series’ launch.
