OPPO releases the new A92 in its live stream today — just two months after the launch of the OPPO A91.
The OPPO A92 differs from the A91 when it comes to its display — it has a larger 6.5-inch display and ditched the conventional notch for a punch-hole cutout. It also chose to go with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of an in-display fingerprint scanner like its siblings.
The A92 also has a bigger battery size at 5,000mAh but surprisingly it only supports 18W fast charging. If we put it up against the A91, the older model has a smaller 4,025mAh battery but comes with better fast charging support at 20W.
The A92 also comes with a Snapdragon 665 processor and 8GB RAM paired with 128GB storage. It ships with ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10 and one of the interesting features is the ability to listen to your videos with the screen off.
Similar to its sibling, the A92 sports a 48MP quad-camera setup. Apart from its main lens, it houses an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP mono lens and a 2MP portrait lens. On the front, you’ll get a 16MP selfie shooter.
The A92 is available in Shining White and Gleaming Black. At RM1,199, this phone can be pre-ordered with gifts such as a Bluetooth speaker and a one-year extended warranty. It will be officially available on May 9 at any OPPO concepts stores, OPPO’s online store, authorised dealers and more.
