The OPPO A71 is a decent all rounder with a decent price tag

The making of dual camera smartphones have been rampant lately. This year saw the likes of OnePlus and Samsung hopping onto the dual camera bandwagon with their latest flagships – the OnePlus 5 and the Galaxy Note 8 respectively. OPPO has been making dual cam devices for quite some time, and now the company has launched not a dual camera smartphone, but one that performs good enough for its reasonable price tag.

We’re talking about the OPPO A71. To start things off, the OPPO A71 is encased in a standard yet sleek metal unibody in either gold or black color options. Sadly, the display isn’t of full HD resolution but a rather sub par 720p. However, the 5.2-inch screen would mean that you probably won’t see that big of a difference in that screen real estate. Underneath the hood, you’ll find an octa core MediaTek MT6750 processor plus 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.

We don’t expect the OPPO A71 to ace in the camera department, but it should provide decent results with its 13MP rear camera and the 5MP front facing shooter. The 3,000mAh battery packed in the handset should definitely suffice, plus the Android Nougat 7.1 with Color OS on top will unlikely disappoint the average user.

The OPPO A71 happened to be silently launched in Malaysia just recently. It carries a really affordable price tag of RM 858 on OPPO Malaysia’s official website.
