OnePlus has been focusing on smartphones for so long, the company now decides to start launching TVs too. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau made an announcement regarding this matter last year and now MySmartPrice has gotten news that these TVs will be launch in September.
There’s already Bluetooth SIG certification of OnePlus’ upcoming TVs, in which there will be at least four different models: 43-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch. These TVs are said to come with Bluetooth 5.0 and will have “a unique Android TV experience” which MySmartPrice is guessing to be about its UI and apps.
In addition to that, reports suggest that these TVs will have a 4K screen, top-notch design and several other enhancements to match the current competitor’s TV standards. We’re also expecting the OnePlus TVs to come with AI-powered voice assistant and maybe even OLED panels. According to the Bluetooth SIG documents, these TVs could possibly be launched in China, India and US, but we’re expecting it to be available in more countries, possibly at a later date.
If OnePlus continues to its strategy of competitive pricing, it could be possible that its TV will be more affordable compared to others despite offering high specs. What do you think? Would you get a OnePlus TV?
