OnePlus Nord 2 5G will be the successor to the first midrange smartphone launched by the company last year, but interestingly, it’s not a midrange phone.
OnePlus Nord 2 uses a flagship processor
The upcoming OnePlus phone is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip — supposedly a flagship chipset. It will also come with a 6.44-inch AMOLED display that support a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+, in addition to being protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Under the hood, this flagship device is expected to sport up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Rumours also suggest that the phone will come with a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support like its predecessor.
OnePlus may cut down the number of rear lenses
Unofficial renders have also revealed the phone to come with three lenses on its rear — one less compared to last year’s model. However, there’s a chance that the main camera will be a 50MP lens, accompanied by an ultrawide lens and a macro sensor.
Even though the official launch is on July 22, its local availability is expected to be on a later date.
