OnePlus, as you may be aware by now, is getting ready to unveil its next flagship smartphones at a global launch event on May 14. For the very first time, the popular smartphone brand will be launching not one but two flagship phones simultaneously – OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. Ahead of the launch event, the OnePlus 7 Pro’s OLED panel has received praise from DisplayMate.
Even though the full in-depth lab tests have not been published on the DisplayMate website yet, they have announced that the testing has been completed and the OnePlus 7 Pro panel has earned their highest A+ rating. The in-depth display shoot-out will be published on the DisplayMate website on May 14, right after the smartphone is officially unveiled.
As revealed by a recent leak, OnePlus 7 Pro will be the company’s first smartphone to have a Quad HD+ resolution display. Aside from the higher resolution, the panel will also boast a 90Hz refresh rate. OnePlus has additionally confirmed the OnePlus 7 Pro display has bagged the ‘Safety for Eyes’ certification from VDE Testing and Certification Institute for being able to effectively lower blue light emission.
The OnePlus 7 Pro model is expected to sport triple rear cameras with a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP telephoto lens, and a 16MP wide-angle snapper. On the other hand, the vanilla OnePlus 7 will have a 48MP + 5MP setup at the rear. In terms of design, the vanilla OnePlus 7 will be strikingly similar to the current OnePlus 6T from almost all angles.
