The OnePlus 5T will have a 3.5 mm headphone jack

OnePlus will soon be launching its second flagship of the year later this month. Heavily rumored to be the OnePlus 5T, the company has dropped a big hint on Twitter about the handset, and that has to do with the existence of a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

OnePlus posted up an image on its Twitter account, boasting the fact that all of its smartphones so far do have headphone jacks with them. The image shows the company’s handsets from the OnePlus One till what might be the OnePlus 5T. If you take a careful look at the two phones stacked on top (aka the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T), both sport similar designs, and below them is the OnePlus 3/3T, with either one being omitted from the image for some reason.

We can safely say that the OnePlus 5T will have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. OnePlus has been quick to adopt new technologies such as the USB Type-C port, but still kept its handsets with 1080p screens instead of Full HD ones. It looks like the headphone jack will be sticking around with the company’s smartphones for some time.

Would you do fine without a headphone jack? Last year Google flaunted the headphone jack of its Pixel series, which has been ironically removed this year. Apple has continued with the absence of the headphone jack on its iPhones as well. What do you think?
