OnePlus 5 with 8GB RAM headed to India after launch

OnePlus has just announced that its upcoming flagship the OnePlus 5 will be launching on the 20th of June. The launch will be celebrated with multiple pop up events across the world in selected major cities. Earlier today, a new render surfaced on the web and is claimed to be accurate. Now we have new info regarding the OnePlus 5, sourced by the popular online tipster Evan Blass.

According to Blass, the 8GB RAM OnePlus 5 will go on sale in India via Amazon. He claims to have retrieved the info from the source code of the Amazon promo page for the OnePlus 5. The 8GB RAM variant of the OnePlus 5 has recently been rumored to go on sale alongside the standard variant that has 6GB of RAM. On top of that, the 8GB RAM model is said to feature as large as 256GB of internal storage.

For now, what we do know is that the OnePlus 5 is confirmed to pack Qualcomm’s top notch Snapdragon 835 processor, plus the flagship handset is very likely to sport a dual rear camera setup with a very iPhone-esque design, as convinced by the “accurate” render by Android Police earlier today.

Regardless, the promo image above is definitely official, via the Amazon India site. Hence it is confirmed that the OnePlus 5 will begin selling at 4:30PM local time.
