After a long wait, the Oculus Rift’s controllers, the Oculus Touch, will finally be available for purchase on the 6th of December.

Much like to controllers found on the Rift’s rival, the HTC Vive, the Oculus Touch are a pair of controllers. Each controller will come with its own analog stick, face buttons, and triggers. Besides moving the analog sticks and pushing buttons, the Oculus Touch is also capable of detecting basic finger gestures.

Pre-orders for the Oculus Touch will begin on the 10th of October (Monday). The Oculus Touch will be available as either a standalone product, or as a Rift bundle. The controllers themselves will be available for USD199 and will come with an additional sensor, while the Rift + Touch bundle costs USD798 and comes with the controller, the Rift headset, and two sensors. For those who are looking to do room-scale tracking with their Oculus setup, Oculus has mentioned that you’ll need to get a third sensor for it to work properly. The sensor itself costs USD79, meaning that the full Oculus experience cost USD877. For those who are curious, the HTC Vive bundle costs USD799.
