Nvidia might introduce the GTX 1180 on 20 August 2018

Its been a long time coming, we know that the new GeForce GTX 1100-series will be released by the end of August 2018 and it looks like we might have a date on when these new cards will be released.

Nvidia has sent out invitations to an event that will take place on 20 August 2018 in Cologne, Germany which they are calling GeForce Gaming Celebration. This could be a big indicator that they will be unveiling the upcoming GeForce GTX 1180 graphics cards. The new cards will be based on the Turing architecture which will succeed the Pascal architecture. At the same time, Nvidia has also unveiled many new game graphics advancements, including adaptive ray tracing rendering techniques and a new Adaptive Temporal Anti-Aliasing that will compliment it. It can eliminate blur that is caused by Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TAA) and bring it close to 8x Super-Sampling Anti-Aliasing (SSAA), presumably to distract people from the new cards.

The event is held one day before GamesCon which is another indicator that they might be releasing the new cards and rumours have mentioned that we will be able to see the cards before 30 August. We will just need to wait and see if these cards will be unveiled during their event.
